
LeBron James’ Los Angeles Lakers squared off against Stephen Curry-led Golden State Warriors on Thursday night at the Crypto.com Arena. The Lakers failed to take the home advantage as the Dubs defeated them 123-116.
LeBron James and Stephen Curry stepped up for their respective teams as the 21-time NBA All-Star scored a team-high 33 points while Curry registered a game-high 37 points. The 40-year-old Lakers star shot 66.7% from the field, including 5-of-8 from beyond the arc, and combined it with five rebounds, nine assists, and two stocks.
Curry And Podziemski Lead Charge For Warriors In Key Win Over Lakers

The Golden State Warriors are on a roll as they have extended their winning streak to four games following the crucial win against the Lakers. The duo of Curry and Brandin Podziemski combined for 65 points, hitting 12 of the 19 total three-pointers by the Warriors. Podziemski scored 22 points in the first half, including a 2nd quarter buzzer-beater three, to power the Warriors to a 13-point lead.
The all-time leading three-point shooter in the NBA stepped up in the second half of the game. After scoring 12 points in the first two quarters, Curry registered 16 points in the third and continued his scoring form in the final quarter.

For the Lakers, Austin Reaves followed LeBron James in scoring with 31 points, including nine three-pointers. Rui Hachimura scored 24 points, while Luka Doncic had a below-par night as he scored 19 points and struggled to make a single three-point shot.

With the 2025 NBA Playoffs approaching, the teams will look to solidify their case in the regular season standings. The Warriors managed the fifth spot in the Western Conference standings with a 45-31 record. On the other hand, the Lakers dropped to the fourth spot with 46 wins and 30 losses.
