By dint of the dominance of their dynamic trio, Luka Doncic, LeBron James, and Austin Reaves, the Lakers secured a 124-108 victory over the struggling New Orleans Pelicans at Crypto.com Arena.
The win marks the Lakers’ 47th of the season, improving their record to 47-30 and moving them into the third seed in the Western Conference standings. The New Orleans Pelicans, missing Zion Williamson for the seventh straight game, struggled to keep pace. They fell to 21-56 on the season, sitting in 14th place in the Western Conference.

For the second time this season, the Lakers’ star trio of Doncic, James, and Reaves each posted at least 25 points and five assists in the same game. This performance sets a franchise record, marking the most such games by a trio in Lakers history.
Luka Doncic rebounded from a tough outing against the Warriors with a dominant all-around showing. He scored 35 points, grabbed six rebounds, and dished out six assists. Doncic shot 10-of-21 from the field and a perfect 11-of-11 from the free-throw line. With this performance, Doncic now has more 30-point games than 95.7% of all players in Lakers franchise history.

Reaves scored 30 points on 8-of-13 shooting, including 8-of-9 from the free-throw line. He added 3 rebounds and 7 assists. Reaves made six three-pointers against the Pelicans, making 15 in his last two games, which is a franchise record. LeBron contributed 27 points, 8 assists, and 2 steals. He shot 9 of 17 from the field. Rookie Dalton Knecht added 12 points off the bench, while Jaxson Hayes dominated the glass with 12 rebounds and chipped in six points.

Jose Alvarado was the lone bright spot for New Orleans, scoring 27 points to go along with four rebounds and five assists. Yves Missi added a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds, while Karlo Matkovic scored 15 points and grabbed six boards, and Kelly Olynyk added 12 points in the loss.
