Michael Jordan or LeBron James? The ever-growing GOAT debate has had the NBA realm quarrel for decades. On one hand, there are the stellar performances of James, who is still going strong at 40. And standing on the other side of the spectrum is Michael Jordan. The Bulls’ legend who took the NBA to an entirely different realm. However, as the debate continues, Michael Beasley recently made an interesting statement on Jordan’s legendary status.
In a recent interaction, Beasley was asked to pick a side. And the reply came spontaneously. He chose LeBron James. When asked to justify, Beasley pointed out that people do not usually talk about the negatives of Jordan. He further stressed that there are no mentions of Jordan losing in the playoffs and how he actively went after the 2x champion, Dennis Rodman.
“With Jordan, they don’t talk about the negatives. They don’t mention the playoff losses. They don’t talk about the fact that he actively sought out Dennis Rodman-who was already a two-time champion. And no disrespect to Jordan, because he’s Jordan, right?” said Beasley.
On the contrary, Beasley opined that James has been quite transparent. While the NBA realm has witnessed his highs, they have also experienced James’ lows equally. Meanwhile, with his retirement talks on the line, ESPN dropped a surprising update.
