The Milwaukee Bucks want it all. They want Giannis Antetokounmpo, the top 2025 top draft prospect, and more.
Ever since the Bucks’ championship dream got over for this season, Antetokounmpo got almost immediately on the trade block. And needless to say, Damian Lillard’s season-ending injury only added to it.
However, a sports writer named Cris Davis recently reported the scenario Milwaukee is considering a trade for Giannis.
“After internal discussions, the Bucks plan to trade Giannis Antetokounmpo on their terms, eyeing a rebuild centered on picks and prospects. Giannis has the Raptors, Knicks, Heat, and Spurs on his wish list — but is signaling he won’t extend elsewhere, targeting 2027 free agency. Milwaukee prefers a Western Conference deal and has strong interest in top prospect Dylan Harper,” Davis wrote.

For teams, including the Bucks, Dylan Harper has become a perfect quest in the lead-up to the 2025 NBA Draft. And especially as he’s projected to be the number two overall pick right behind Duke’s Cooper Flagg.
We’ll see how this goes on as the Bucks front office is looking to finally turn things around.

Insider Links Giannis Antetokounmpo To Rockets Trade

While the Bucks are still sort of delaying the process to see the best offer forward for Giannis Antetokounmpo, things might change.
According to Kelly Iko from The Athletic, the Bucks superstar is open to the idea of leaving Milwaukee, even though he hasn’t asked for a trade just yet. Kelly linked the Houston Rockets as one probable destination.
Additionally, a trade idea from Bleacher Report’s Andy Bailey has also got many buzzing. He suggested that if Giannis wants a trade outside Milwaukee, there’s one best equation from the Houston Rockets.

The Bucks had a tough time in the playoffs this year, getting knocked out by the Indiana Pacers in the first round. Since winning the championship in 2021, they’ve only managed to win one postseason series.
