LeBron James showcased another stellar performance in Game 3, as rapper Drake placed a massive $620,000 bet on the Timberwolves to beat the Lakers. Despite James’ efforts, the game remained deadlocked at 103-103 with just over four minutes to go. The Timberwolves at last sealed a 116-104 victory at Target Center on Friday night.
With under a minute left, Anthony Edwards hit a crucial three-pointer that not only sealed the win but also secured Drake’s huge win. The Minnesota Timberwolves now lead the series 2-1 over the Lakers.
Anthony Edwards Delivers Historic Performance In The Minnesota Timberwolves Game 3 Win

Anthony Edwards was electric all night, putting together one of his most complete playoff performances to date. He tallied 29 points, eight rebounds, eight assists, and two steals while knocking down five three-pointers.
Most impressively, he joined Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the only two players in NBA playoff history to post at least 25 points, five rebounds, and five assists in a game without attempting a single free throw. Edwards also became the Timberwolves’ all-time leader in 25/5/5 playoff games.

On the Lakers side, LeBron put in a vintage performance with 38 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, two steals, and two blocks in 41 minutes. He shot 5-of-9 from beyond the arc and gave everything he had to keep his team in the game. However, even LeBron’s brilliance wasn’t enough to overcome Minnesota’s team effort down the stretch.
Austin Reaves contributed 20 points and seven rebounds, and Julius Randle added 22 points and five rebounds. Luka Doncic added 17 points, and Rui Hachimura was limited to just eight points.
With this win, the Timberwolves now have a chance to take a commanding 3-1 series lead on Sunday. As for the Lakers, they’ll need more than just LeBron’s greatness if they hope to even the series again.
