Several people were injured at Barclays Center in Brooklyn early Sunday morning when a stampede broke out after a false report of an active shooter. The incident came about following a boxing match between Gervonta Davis and Rolando Romero at Barclays, as several people in attendance took to Twitter to report an active shooter situation.
The crowd was already in a frenzy as many fights broke out during the bout and afterward.

Another video shows fans running for their lives as they are under impression that somebody has let off gunshots inside the arena:
“I was just in the Barclays center and suddenly I heard shouting and saw people running, then we were being yelled at that there was an active shooter and we had to huddle in a room and close the doors,” tennis star Naomi Osaka wrote.
New York Police Department has confirmed that the panicked crowd was merely reacting to a “sound disturbance” outside the arena, with CNN reporting that ten people suffered minor injuries and were taken to local hospitals.
“After investigating the incident at the Barclays Center this morning, we determined that no shots were fired,” the NYPD 78th Precinct said in a tweet on Sunday.
The undefeated Gervonta Davis retained his WBA secondary lightweight title with a sixth round knockout of Rolando Romero. The TKO is the 25th for Davis in 27 career fights.
