The Indiana Pacers have been in some exquisite form this year. After dominating the regular season, they have now reached the NBA finals. However, on the contrary, the upbeat session of the New York Knicks ended after crashing out 4-2 in the conference finals. And while the Knicks’ fans and players are already dejected, Myles Turner further rubbed salt in their wounds.
In a recent post on Instagram, Turner uploaded a clip from ‘The Family Guy’ TV series. The video shows a character named Carter Pewterschmidt putting a load of cash into a grinder. As expected, the cash soon got turned into its ground form. Much to everyone’s surprise, the character then went on to drink the entire solution, saying:
“In about an hour, I am gonna p**s away 20 grand.”
Reacting to the comment, another character named Glenn Quagmire replied:
“What? You gonna bet on the Knicks?”

Surely, this was a satirical reference from Turner to how the Knicks have been unable to break the playoff code in the last couple of decades. Meanwhile, despite igniting hopes of making an impossible comeback, the Knicks failed to capitalize on the momentum.

The New York Knicks Missed Out On The NBA Finals Berth

While the Knicks played exceptionally well to get to the conference finals, they faltered against the Pacers. In the first couple of games, the Pacers reigned supreme. But Game 3 saw a significant turnaround when the Knicks beat the Pacers 130-121. While the Pacers came back to business again in Game 4, the Knicks made sure there was a Game 6.

Putting up a stellar show, Karl-Anthony Towns and co. won Game 5 111-94. Unfortunately, despite showing sparks of brilliance, the Knicks failed to capitalize. Thus, to come back stronger in the next season, it remains to be seen how things pan out in the future.
