LeBron James and Stephen Curry have been stalwarts of the game. While the duo may not have advanced to the finals, they did continue to perform well at the highest level. However, despite both of them performing well, a recent ranking list from Bill Simmons has ignited significant controversy. While he did include Stephen Curry in his top 15, Simmons left out King James. And an NBA analyst was not having any of it.
Nick Wright seemed utterly surprised at how James was ignored from the top 15. Wright pointed out how James finished 6th in the MVP voting. This was a tell tale sign of how dominant the Lakers’ legend was this season. Thus, according to Wright, there was no way James was ignored for Curry.
“There’s no way to look at this NBA season & say Steph was better than LeBron, not by (stats, team record, individual accolades, anything),” said Wright.

Wright also said that, judging fairly, James should have gotten the highest ranking of 5 and the lowest of 10. Instead, Simmons’ ranking Curry 7th seemed way too much for Wright. Meanwhile, still going strong at 40, James recently opened up about his unconventional path to NBA success.

“I didn’t have a basketball trainer until second, third, maybe fourth year in the NBA. Like, my basketball training was just being on the court. Let’s just go hoop. Yeah. Let’s go hoop. 100%. Five on five, or two on two, or three on three,” James said in his recent appearance on ‘Mind The Game’ podcast.
