On the latest episode of the Mind the Game podcast, LeBron James addressed long-standing criticisms of his offensive skill set, particularly the notion that he doesn’t have an elite “bag” of moves. James fired back with the strongest argument he could offer.
The conversation became a focal point on FS1’s First Things First. Analyst Chris Broussard took the opportunity to weigh in not just on LeBron but also on Kevin Durant. Later, Broussard argued that no one in today’s game has consistently driven team success like the Lakers superstar.
“I think Kobe’s bag was better than LeBron’s. He’s not a better player, but he had more of arsenal of shots than LeBron. Does Lebron have the bag of Kevin Durant? KD is viewed as a great bag but he don’t impact winning like LeBron and never did. Never came close to that,” Broussard said.

“I just think it’s about winning, and it’s about productivity, and Lebron James had it to a level that hardly anybody else has ever had. So who cares if he didn’t dribble between his legs three times and spin before a jump?” he added.

“If they’re people out there that believe that one of the greatest players to ever be on earth has no bag… Man i’ve seen it all,” Giannis wrote.
The debate over LeBron’s “bag” may continue. But his numbers, championships, and impact are nearly impossible to argue against.
