Draymond Green had a solid showing in the Golden State Warriors’ crucial 103-89 Game 7 victory over the Houston Rockets, helping his team secure a spot in the Western Conference Semifinals. However, as has often been the case in heated matchups between Golden State and Houston, Green found himself at the center of another controversial moment.
During the second quarter, tensions rose when Green tried to pass the ball and was under pressure from Rockets guard Fred VanVleet. Green swung his elbow to create space, connecting with VanVleet and knocking him to the floor. VanVleet remained down for several moments.

The referees did not let the elbow go unnoticed. Green was assessed a technical foul for the incident. The moment added to an already lengthy list of Green’s playoff infractions.
Green had already received a flagrant foul in Game 6 for striking Jalen Green. In Game 4, he was hit with a flagrant for awkwardly kicking Tari Eason at Chase Center.
