Ja Morant seems to attract more trouble for himself after already getting called out for his gestures.
The Memphis Grizzlies suffered their fourth consecutive defeat on Tuesday night, losing 134-125 to the Warriors at FedExForum. Under interim head coach Tuomas Iisalo, Memphis is now 0-3 at home in this new tenure.
Stephen Curry had a standout performance, scoring 52 points and hitting 12 three-pointers, along with 10 rebounds, eight assists, and five steals.
Ja Morant led the Grizzlies in scoring with 36 points during the loss. However, it was his infamous love with gun gestures overshadowed his performance.
During the loss, Morant appeared to gesture with “finger guns” towards the Warriors bench. However, his gesture was in response to Buddy Hield, who had done the same from the Warriors bench as Jimmy Butler shot late free throws.

This exchange led to both Hield and Morant receiving double-technical fouls. The timing of Morant’s gesture was puzzling, especially since it took place immediately after Butler’s free throws.

However, Desmond Bane also performed a finger gun celebration earlier in the season, leading to tensions that nearly escalated into a fight. Given Morant’s history and the team’s current struggles, including losing seven of their last eight games, the Grizzlies are at risk of slipping from the No. 6 seed into the play-in tournament.
