After spending 14 long years in the league, former NBA forward Lamar Odom’s life has changed only for the worse.
Odom, who’s best known for his time with the Los Angeles Lakers and his marriage to Khloé Kardashian, has recently found himself in a tough spot.
He’s been ordered to vacate his rental home in Los Angeles after his landlord, Executive Recovery Group, Inc., filed a lawsuit claiming he owes $45,000 in back rent.
According to the lawsuit, which was reported on March 20, 2025, Odom entered into an agreement in December 2024. He rented a sprawling home in Studio City for $15,000 a month.

Unfortunately, Odom failed to make payments for three consecutive months, January, February, and March, which led to this messy situation.
After multiple notices from the landlord, including a three-day ultimatum to either pay up or leave, the court ultimately sided with the landlord on April 28, 2025.

Odom didn’t respond to the lawsuit, which meant the court had no choice but to order him to vacate the property. It’s a tough reality for Odom, especially given all he has been through in recent years.

Additionally, this rental home had its own interesting backstory, too. It was previously leased by the late rapper Mac Miller, who even filmed part of his MTV show there. It’s a shame that what once may have been a luxurious retreat is now tainted by legal issues.
