The business end of the season is here. And with it the NBA MVP is almost done and dusted. However, there is still no official confirmation about who will be picking up this year’s accolades. But as of now, two names seem to be doing the rounds. One of them is obviously the charismatic guard from Oklahoma City Thunder, Shai-Gilgeous Alexander. And the other one? Well, it is his present opponent from the Denver Nuggets, Nikola Jokic. With the fans waiting eagerly for the announcement, the NBA has decided to play the waiting game.
At the moment, the Thunder and the Nuggets are locked 3-3 in the conference semifinals. Thus, the NBA does not want to take any chances when it comes to affecting an athlete’s morale. Announcing the MVP ahead of Game 7 might directly put a stress on the one missing out of it.
The NBA should 100% announce the MVP Sunday morning & give it to SGA on the court before the game just to see if we get the Jokic version of the Hakeem-Admiral game or if SGA can hold him off.

Peak theater.
And by the looks of it, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander looks favorite to become the NBA MVP. Leading his side to a thumping 68-win regular season campaign, Gilgeous-Alexander looks all set to topple the last year’s MVP, Nikola Jokic. Thus, even as the NBA delays, fans are looking quite spot on with their assumptions. And it might not be what you think.
Fans Give Their Verdict In Favor Of Nikola Jokic

As soon as the post gained traction, fans flocked to the comments section to express their point of views.
One fan said, “This year, its Jokic no matter if they win or not, if he does not get it, then MVP in its definition might be something else than the name of the award itself.”

Another fan said, “Joker proved this year in the playoffs what he proved all year long. If you can find me a more “Valuable” player I want to see him.
Nuggets are a lottery team without Joker. OKC easily makes the playoffs without Shai.”
