The Los Angeles Lakers have built a team around LeBron James and this has been a story for many years now. But now as things stand, they will soon be forming the build up around Luka Doncic.
The Lakers played a big bet and traded for Doncic. As per what and how he delivered, the deal really paid off its initial dividends.
However, moving on to him means officially committing that the LeBron era is finally over at LA. Recently, NBA legend Dominique Wilkins dropped a harsh truth bomb on the matter.
“It’s definitely Luka’s team. A 25-year-old guy compared to a guy who is 40. You should be willing to hand over those ranks to him. I don’t think that’s even a question. I think that’s what the plan is,” Wilkins said.

In the broader sense, we could see where this is coming from. Despite James showing no signs of slowing down, forty is still an age many hang their sneakers.
And while he’s still holding it mentally and physically, team management’s math doesn’t work on aspirations. They should and must get their next batch ready to comply with the Slovenian phenom before the Akron born superstar’s numbers start receding.

NBA Legend Sides From Naming LeBron James As The GOAT

While Dominique Wilkins gave much of his thought and consideration to the young NBA stars, he didn’t like the GOAT debate.
When Esports Insider asked “Where do you stand in the Michael Jordan vs. LeBron debate,” the legend had a straightaway answer.
“I don’t believe in the GOAT and all that stuff,” he said.
“How can you say a guy is the greatest of all-time when they haven’t played against some of the guys that were the greatest of their era? Like a Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell,” he added.

Jordan, in 32 months, gave us more greatness than LeBron could manage if he played 32 YEARS
Also in this stretch

– Game-winner in most watched game ever
– 305 games w/o losing 3 straight

However, according to him, nothing has quite been done in the way Michael Jordan did things during his career. And it was MJ who stood as the “best player to every play.”
