The New York Knicks delivered a dominant 119-81 win over the Boston Celtics on Friday in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. With Jayson Tatum sidelined for Achilles injury, the Celtics struggled to compete, and the Knicks capitalized on the opportunity to close out the series 4-2 with a powerful statement win over the reigning champions.
This victory ends a long wait for New York fans. The Knicks had endured the third-longest Eastern Conference Finals drought in the NBA, with their last appearance 24 years ago. The 2024-25 squad is now the first to reach the Conference Finals since the 1999-2000 season.

Karl-Anthony Towns provided muscle and balance in the paint with a double-double performance. He added 21 points, 12 rebounds, and an assist. Mikal Bridges tallied 22 points, four rebounds, and three assists on 9-of-15 shooting. With this game, Bridges tied the record for the most playoff games in Knicks history with 20+ points and zero free throw attempts.
