
The Golden State Warriors continued their mid-season surge with a hard-fought 97-94 victory over the New York Knicks and improved their winning streak to seven. The Warriors managed to hold off a strong challenge from Karl-Anthony Towns and OG Anunoby on Saturday.
This win was significant not just for the team’s momentum but also for head coach Steve Kerr, who surpassed Al Attles for the most regular-season wins in franchise history.
With this win, the Warriors improved to a 39-28 record, climbing to the sixth seed in the Western Conference. Notably, they have been nearly unstoppable with Jimmy Butler in the lineup, boasting a 12-1 record when he plays. The Knicks, now holding a 42-24 record, remain in third place in the Eastern Conference.

Stephen Curry once again proved why he is the heart of the Warriors. The superstar guard finished with 28 points, seven rebounds, and five assists while shooting 8-of-20 from the field. But Curry struggled from deep, making just 4-of-13 three-pointers.

Moses Moody provided a major boost for the Warriors, scoring 18 points on 7-of-14 shooting, including four three-pointers. Meanwhile, Butler added 11 points, seven rebounds, and two assists. Draymond Green also played his part with nine points, while Jonathan Kuminga chipped in with 10 points off the bench.

Despite the loss, the Knicks had several standout performances. Karl-Anthony Towns led all scorers with 29 points, shooting 12-of-21 from the field while grabbing 12 rebounds. OG Anunoby added 23 points and nine rebounds. Mikal Bridges and Miles McBride each contributed 19 points.
The Warriors will face the Denver Nuggets on Monday, while New York will take on the Miami Heat on Sunday.
