This year, the NBA witnessed the phenomenal rising of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Together with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Thunder has already secured a place in the NBA finals. However, with their opponent still unknown, there is a very good chance that the Indiana Pacers make it through. And while they can edge out the New York Knicks, the Pacers would rely heavily on one man to get the job done. And that is none other than Tyrese Haliburton.
Haliburton has been impressive throughout the season. Playing in the regular season, Haliburton has averaged 18.6 points along with 9.2 assists and 3.5 rebounds. Moreover, he has also provided some deciding touches to the Pacers’ victories in the NBA playoffs. Thus, looking at Haliburton’s performance, 9x NBA All-Star Paul George is all ready to crown him as the next big thing of NBA.
“In my eyes, I think he is a superstar. He’s the face of the NBA,” George said on his podcast, ‘Podcast P with Paul George’. “He is the number 1 option… He’s been a clutch performer late in games… I want to see him continue to do this which I know he will.”

Now then, this is not the only praise that Haliburton has received in recent times. Owing to his impressive performance, Gilbert Arenas too, heaped a ton of praises on the Indiana Pacers’ star. Meanwhile, enjoying his playoff run significantly, Haliburton had some fun recently with a ‘choke’ gesture.
Tyrese Haliburton Opens Up On ‘Choke’ Celebration

Haliburton was the star when the Pacers came from behind to edge out the Knicks 138-135. Trailing in the dying minutes of the fourth quarter, it was Haliburton who equaled things with the score reading 125-125. However, while Haliburton celebrated with Reggie Miller’s viral ‘choke’ gesture, thinking it was a three-point shot, in reality, it was just two points.

“If I would’ve known it was a two, I would not have done it. I might have wasted it. If I do it again, people might say I’m aura farming. I don’t plan on using it again,” Haliburton said, reflecting on the same.
