On Friday, there were several reports that stated Nipsey Hussle’s family were actively trying their best to find a venue big enough to accommodate the massive crowd they’re expecting to attend the rapper’s memorial, and according to TMZ they’ve made their decision.
The publication states that the memorial service will take place Thursday morning at the Staples Center in Downtown Los Angeles.
According to Karen Civil, Nipsey Hussle’s family will not be selling tickets to his memorial service at the Staples Center.
The 21,000 seat venue has had events like this before: Michael Jackson’s memorial was held there at 2009.
Last Sunday, Nipsey was tragically and senselessly gunned down outside his Marathon Clothing store in the Hyde Park neighborhood.
The alleged gunman, 29-year-old Eric Holder, has been charged with one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder, and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon.
The suspected gunman faces up to life in prison if convicted on all charges.
