The Minnesota Timberwolves made their name as the team that ousted the favorites. Putting up an incredible show, the Wolves got the better of the LeBron James-led Lakers as well as Stephen Curry’s Warriors. But coming to the Conference finals, they have realized it’s a whole new ball game. After getting battered in Game 1 of the conference finals, the Wolves looked to bounce back. But as Game 2 concluded, things started to look a bit grim for the Minnesota fans.
In yet another strong performance from the Oklahoma City Thunder, they bettered the Wolves with a score of 103-118. This puts them in a commanding position with a 2-0 lead in the finals. For the Thunder, it was the NBA MVP once more in action.

Playing yet another impressive hand, Gilgeous-Alexander dropped 36 points. And that was not all. He also coupled it with eight assists and three rebounds to make it a complete performance. Giving him assistance was Jalen Williams, who was on the court for 39 minutes, dropping 26 points with five assists. Williams also chipped in with 10 rebounds that made it easier for the Thunder to cross the line. Now then, with the OKC reigning supreme, all hopes are not lost for the Minnesota Timberwolves. They, too, had some notable performances.
Minnesota Timberwolves Will Look To Capitalize On The Positives

The Minnesota Timberwolves fans will surely be heartbroken after Game 2. However, they, too, can take some positives from the game and build from it. Anthony Edwards was giving Shai Gilgeous-Alexander a run for his money. He dropped 32 points with six assists and nine rebounds. Jaden McDaniels assisted him in his quest. While he chipped in with 22 points, McDaniels also had three rebounds.

However, the likes of Rudy Gobert and Julius Randle had an off day at the office. Dropping only five and six points, respectively, the duo surely needs to up the ante from the next game. Thus, with a lot of work to do for the Wolves, it remains to be seen what happens next.
