The Oklahoma City Thunder made a robust roster packed with talent. After securing the NBA championship of the recent season, the team officials are not compromising on anything to run with the same momentum in the next season ahead. And this offseason, they had a huge agreement with the Chicago Bulls worth $80 million.
The Thunder traded Josh Giddey to the Chicago Bulls in exchange for Alex Caruso. The big man, known for his defense and hustle, is now heading towards the West. Caruso had a solid season with the Bulls. He averaged 10.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.5 assists. His defense and energy will be crucial to the Thunder’s depth.
The bench list includes a mix of strong, experienced players. Apart from Caruso, Isaiah Joe, Aaron Wiggins, and Kenrich Williams will enter with their huge budgets and skills. Jaylin Williams adds $8M and brings grit to the core. At the same time, young players like Cason Wallace, Ousmane Diene, Nikola Topic, Thomas Sorber, and Ajay Mitchell provide the team energy. In total, all the players’ salary costs are over $60 million, which proves the Thunder did not hesitate with their budget and focused on rebuilding the lineup.

At 23, Jones averaged 2.5 points in 54 games last season. The young star now joins the Wizards, who are looking for young players to rebuild their roster. His contract is guaranteed for next season with team options through 2028.
Washington used a traded player exception to take on Jones’ salary. Meanwhile, thunder created a small $502K exception. However, that amount is too low to land up in future trades.
