The Orlando Magic have caused a stir on social media after introducing a new logo and three new uniforms for the next NBA season.
Fans are understandably split over the new logo and threads, with some claiming it’s “fire” while others feel that making such a change was a mistake.
Anyhow, the team returned the iconic star from their early years, a fan favorite, replacing the “A” in “Magic” with a five-pointer.

The secondary logo suggests the team is making forward progress as it features a basketball with a star trail. The three new uniforms include Association White with retro pinstripes, Icon Blue, and Statement Black, which is inspired by the team’s original warmup jackets and Jordan Brand styling.
“So fire,” one fan commented.

“You had one of the best logos in the league and you changed it to this? Just why? Should have just went back to the early-mid 2000s one,” a fan suggested.

A Brief History Of Orlando Magic Logos

The Orlando Magic have marked their eras with cool threads and logos. The original star logo graced uniforms from 1989-2000 and was used during the Shaquille O’Neal and Penny Hardaway epoch, when they went to the NBA Finals in 1995-1996.
They introduced a sleeker, modernized look between 2000 and 2010, which included reigns as top NBA superstars by Tracy McGrady and Dwight Howard.
The star was then removed and replaced by a blue basketball with a swoosh while the font was made to catch up with the times.
As seen above, the star is back after disappearing for several years.
