In an Instagram story, he reassured his fans and followers that he has no intention of stepping away from the game just yet. He expressed his excitement about the future and confirmed his commitment to continue playing.
“Since we are in the era of not doing any fact checking and just repost what we hear from uncredited sources smfh i (sic) have to take time out of my vacation to set the record straight so yall can stop sending me the dumb s-it!. Never have a mentioned retirement or even given any indication that may be a thing.. I’m 40 years young 100% healthy, able, and will continue playing the game I’ve dedicated my lief to… HOOPIN!!!!!!” Tucker wrote in his Instagram story.

On March 10, 2025, the New York Knicks executed a 10-day contract with Tucker. Subsequently, on March 20, the organisation opted to extend his contract for an additional 10 days. Nevertheless, the team waived him on March 30. The very next day, March 31, Tucker signed a two-year agreement with the Knicks, which incorporated a team option for the 2025-26 season.
