The NBA finals have reached a thrilling edge. With both the finalists showing impeccable performance, the series is tied 3-3 at the moment. And with everything to play for in Game 7, it is a now-or-never situation for both teams. And with less than 24 hours to go, Pascal Siakam is looking to give it all. For that, he has decided to take inspiration from an NBA icon. Kawhi Leonard.
Siakam and Leonard were teammates during their time with the Toronto Raptors. While their partnership lasted only a season, Leonard had a significant effect on the Pacers’ star, especially his ice-cold composure. Leonard is always known to be a cool and calm customer. His ability to keep a cool head in high-pressure situations earned him a lot of praise. And that is exactly what Siakam wants to channel within himself ahead of the finals.
“Being even-keeled. I think Kawhi, no matter what happened, he is always the same. That’s something I try to have for me. It’s like no matter good or bad, make shots, miss shots, it doesn’t really matter. Just be yourself,” said Siakam.

This way, they have taken the decision right to the last game. Meanwhile, after Game 6, a viral snap of Siakam was doing the rounds. And the Pacers’ star was quick to respond.

“They said I was a demon? I wish I had a 30-point game or something so then I could’ve been like, ‘Yeah, the spirit took over.’ I tried to close my eyes. I’m thinking that I’m closing them, but I’m not closing them,” Siakam said.
