Pascal Siakam is having the same problem that Caitlin Clark had back in 2024.
The New York Knicks live to play another ball game after taking care of business in Game 5 of their Eastern Conference finals series against the Indiana Pacers.
Siakim did not have his best game. He scored 15 points but shot just 5-13 from the field and 1-3 from deep. He got to the line eight times, making four of these attempts, and he collected six boards and five assists.
Following the contest, it was time to answer some questions from reporters.
Pascal Siakam had a tense exchange with a reporter after the Pacers’ Game 5 loss to the Knicks, defending his comment that New York simply played harder as they rolled to a double-digit victory and stopped the Pacers from scoring over 100 points for the first time in this year’s playoffs.
Siakam appeared frustrated after the loss, and it only got worse when he went back and forth with a reporter pressing him on his comments.
“How is it possible not to fight hard enough in a game?” the reporter asked.

“What are you talking about? They played harder than us. It’s okay. We played hard, but they played harder,” Siakam responded. “What’s your point? I don’t get it.”
“That’s what happens in the game, though. That’s basketball,” Pascal Siakam added as the reporter tried to clarify what he meant.
“You good, bro? You’re looking for something, I know, but damn. I told you. What else do you want me to tell you?”

Pascal Siakam Had a Tense Exchange With The Same Reporter Who Was Weird Toward Caitlin Clark

Indiana Pacers star Pascal Siakam put a controversial reporter in his place after a tough Game 5 loss against the New York Knicks.
Post-game, Siakam admitted the Knicks’ played harder’ than the Pacers. That, apparently, was unacceptable for Indianapolis Star columnist Gregg Doyel.
This isn’t Doyel’s first time involved in a controversial press conference exchange. His outlet suspended him for two weeks last year following a creepy comment directed toward then-Fever rookie Caitlin Clark.
He made a heart gesture with his hands and later said, “Start doing it to me, and we’ll get along just fine.”
In a follow-up column, Doyel apologized to Clark and admitted that he crossed the line.
