The Philadelphia 76ers finally ended their three-game skid with a 126-122 win over the Utah Jazz on Sunday at Wells Fargo Center. Despite being without their star trio of Joel Embiid, Paul George, and Tyrese Maxey, the Sixers proved they could compete and secure a win. Quentin Grimes and Lonnie Walker IV stepped up in a major way to lead the charge to hold off Utah’s late rally.
Philadelphia built a lead of over 20 points before Utah stormed back, cutting the deficit to just two in the final seconds. However, the Jazz couldn’t complete the comeback, leaving them at the bottom of the Western Conference with a 15-49 record. Meanwhile, the 76ers improved to 22-41, holding the 11th seed in the East.
Quentin Grimes Delivers Big Performances As The Philadelphia 76ers Hold Off Jazz Rally
Grimes had one of his best games in a Sixers uniform, scoring 25 points on 6-13 shooting, including 4-9 from beyond the arc and a perfect 9-9 from the free-throw line. He also contributed six assists and two steals in just 27 minutes. His first-half performance set the tone: he put up 16 points, three assists, and two steals by halftime.
Lonnie Walker IV recorded a double-double with 25 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists, shooting 8-18 from the field. Adem Bona posted a 14-point, 14-rebound double-double while adding five blocks. Jaylen Butler scored 15 points and nine assists, and Jared Edwards had 11 points in the win.

On the Jazz’s side, Keyonte George and Kyle Filipowski led Utah with 25 points each. Isaiah Collier facilitated the offense with 13 points and 10 assists, Johnny Juzang had 15 points, while Kenyon Martin Jr. and Brice Sensabaugh had 14 points in the loss.
