A pickup basketball game at an LA Fitness gym in Texas went way south and could have taken a fatal turn after someone pulled out a gun on the court.
The video below shows a heated confrontation between two players, with one shown brandishing a Glock handgun before putting it back into his backpack, having angrily confronted the other person involved before walking away to get his weapon.

The clip drew lots of comments from social media users, with many noting that such an incident was uncalled for.
“This happened at my LA fitness here in the Dallas area. A few months later the dude showed back up like nothing ever happened lol,” a user claimed.

LA Fitness Incident Puts A Lot Into Perspective
It’s not clear what caused the altercation, but it probably did not necessitate a firearm being pulled, as it was likely just a hard foul. Who knows? The guy in question could have been an off-duty police officer or just a civilian with a registered weapon. But brandishing a pistol at a basketball game touches the heights of unwarranted.
All in all, it’s fortunate that things did not escalate from there, as this could have easily turned into a shooting, and multiple people could have gotten hurt or worse.
It’s worth noting that this is trending at a time when a family is still mourning the loss of a 17-year-old boy who was stabbed to death at a track meet because of a simple disagreement that should have never even come to blows.
