The Los Angeles Lakers and the Milwaukee Bucks have important decisions. Both teams will be looking to come back with a strong side in the coming year. But ahead of that, they will have some issues to take care of. Bobby Portis and Dorian Finney-Smith both have their contract extension looming. However, with reportedly significant interest coming in, they might change their minds.
Both Portis and Finney-Smith were impressive last season. Teaming up with Lebron James and co., Finney-Smith quickly caught JJ Redick’s attention. He soon became part of the rotation policy followed at the Lakers. And he did yield some impressive results. Similarly, Portis helped the Bucks secure some important victories. Thus, it is no wonder that other teams would be interested in acquiring them. And as per Jake Fischer, there is a significant interest for both of them.
“Two potential free agents generating a considerable amount of curiosity leaguewide as Monday night draws near, I’m told, are Milwaukee’s Bobby Portis Jr. and the Lakers’ Dorian Finney-Smith,” reported Fischer.

Now, both the stars have their player options pending. While Portis is being offered $13.4 million, Finney-Smith will have a $15.4 million offer to explore. However, these contracts need to be signed by Sunday’s deadline. And if they decide not to renew, then the free agency options will be coming in. Meanwhile, this is not the first time Dorian Finney-Smith has been rumored to hit the free agency market.
Shams Charania Predicts Probable Free Agency Possibility For Dorian Finney-Smith

Shams Charania made an interesting statement following the Lakers’ effort towards building a quality side next season. Charania reported that Finney-Smith is not eager to renew his contract with the Lakers. With a strong performance to back him, Finney-Smith would probably like to explore his options on the free market.

“The other concern there is Dorian Finney Smith, his free-agency. What interest is out there for him. He’s got a player-option that he’s gotta decide by the end of the month,” Charania said in the recent episode of ‘Get Up’ on ESPN.
