Jim Owczarski from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel recently stated that Portis might opt in. While he, too, initially thought Portis would opt out, the recent update is surely quite significant. If the reports are to be believed, then Portis has a $13.4 million player option for the 2025-26 season.
“I wrote early on I thought Bobby would be a S&T candidate after an opt-out. But the more I’m hearing is he may be more likely to opt-in,” Owczarski wrote about Portis.
