A recent report has surfaced claiming that Kevin Durant was interested in being traded to either the Boston Celtics or the New York Knicks during the February trade deadline. However, despite the two-time NBA champion’s interest, no deal came to fruition at the time.
Kevin O’Connor reported that both Boston and New York now appear to be unlikely landing spots moving forward. Yet, the Celtics are still very much involved in discussions regarding Durant. ESPN’s Zach Lowe added new insight, revealing that Boston has explored complex trade scenarios to acquire the Suns’ star forward.
“I’ve heard that there have been discussions of 3-team Durant related trades where Jrue Holiday moves somewhere,” Lowe reported.

Boston won the title last season. They were determined to repeat it this season. But the team struggled heavily in the playoffs while Jayson Tatum’s injury worsened the situation.
According to the report, the Celtics are now eager to rework their roster. Without Tatum, the rest of the roster may be in play. Boston’s management appears determined to make aggressive moves to stay in contention. Hence, a trade involving Kevin Durant could be their next major step.

According to a new report by Brett Siegel, the Miami Heat are nearing a potential blockbuster trade to acquire Kevin Durant from the Suns. While the deal isn’t finalized yet, Siegel noted that a key player could push the discussions over the finish line.
“Although the two sides are not right at the finish line yet in trade talks, one player can get them there. If the Heat include Kel’el Ware talks with the Suns will reach a whole new level, as he is the player Phoenix wants in discussions with Miami,” Siegel reported.
KD has reportedly expressed interest in joining the Heat. Alongside Miami, Durant is also said to be open to playing for the San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets. If the Heat manage to land Durant, it would mark a major move for a franchise looking to bounce back into title contention after a disappointing end to last season.
