Bradley Beal has two years and $110 million remaining on his current deal. His contract includes a rare no-trade clause, which makes it difficult for the Phoenix Suns to move him. Any trade would require Beal’s full approval.
However, Suns fans recently received a potential lifeline. NBA insider Evan Sidery reported that Beal is now open to a contract buyout, potentially expediting his departure from Phoenix.
“Bradley Beal is open to cooperating on a contract buyout, which will expedite his exit from the Suns soon. Beal accepting a buyout also helps Phoenix dodge the second apron, opening up significantly flexibility. Without an albatross contract, Beal will be a coveted free agent,” Sidery reported.

This news comes as a relief for the Suns organization. By agreeing to a buyout, Phoenix could gain vital cap space and avoid complications under the new CBA’s second apron restrictions.
Beal’s time in Phoenix has been underwhelming, largely due to injuries. He played only 53 games in each of the past two seasons since his trade from the Washington Wizards. His production also didn’t match expectations for a max-contract player. Throughout his stints, he averaged 17.6 points, 4.3 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per game.

The Miami Heat are already positioning themselves as a top contender to land Beal. According to NBA insider Marc Stein, the Heat are exploring Beal and Damian Lillard.
“The Heat, meanwhile, have serious interest in signing Lillard as well as exploring the prospect of adding a bought-out Beal. Yet it’s fair to wonder why Lillard would be looking to sign quickly with any team unless he’s searching for organizational support as he rehabs from his own Achilles tear. Our good friend Chris Haynes reported Thursday evening that Lillard is indeed in no rush to make any decision about his future despite receiving plenty of interest from the Heat and several other teams,” Stein reported.
If Beal is bought out, he will become a free agent without the constraints of his current no-trade clause. It gives him the freedom to sign wherever he sees fit.
