Following back-to-back disappointing seasons, the Phoenix Suns have already undergone a significant roster overhaul by trading Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets. That move effectively broke up the Durant-Devin Booker duo. Now the spotlight shifts to the next big decision on Bradley Beal.
According to The Athletic’s Fred Katz, Beal is not actively pushing for a move but is not closing the door on one either. He still holds a full no-trade clause, which gives him rare control over any potential deal.
“Phoenix could try to trade Beal, as it did this past season, but his no-trade clause remains. The same that was true before the 2025 trade deadline is the case today, according to a league source familiar with Beal’s thought process: Beal would be open to the right trade that sends him the right destination, but his preference is to remain in Phoenix, even if the team won only 35 games a season ago and just downgraded from Kevin Durant, who it dealt to the Houston Rockets last weekend,” Katz reported.

However, not everyone believes Beal will stay. John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7 has reported recently that it is “unlikely” Beal remains in Phoenix moving forward.
Miami Heat Floated As A Possible Destination For Bradley Beal

Speculation about Beal’s next team has already begun. The Miami Heat have emerged as a possible suitor. ESPN’s Zach Lowe shared on his podcast that some within NBA circles believe Miami could construct a trade package centered around Duncan Robinson and Terry Rozier.

“Some people around the league have suggested to me the Miami Heat could turn like Duncan Robinson plus Terry Rozier plus whatever into Bradley Beal. The Heat have had chances to get Beal before and haven’t done it. Is the price that low gonna entice them?” Lowe said in his podcast.
Since January, the Suns have been exploring trade options for Beal. With a $57.1 million player option for the 2026–27 season and a no-trade clause in his contract, Beal maintains significant control over where he gets moved.
