With the likes of Taylor Jenkins and Mike Brown on the radar, New York has landed a third candidate in their search.
In a recent update from Shams Charania, Micah Nori is now the third person the Knicks have interviewed. Nori has been a constant for the Minnesota Timberwolves since 2021. He also has a rich experience as an assistant for teams like the Pistons, Nuggets, Kings, and Raptors.
“The New York Knicks are interviewing Minnesota Timberwolves assistant Micah Nori for the team’s head coaching job, sources tell ESPN. Now three candidates -Nori and two former head coaches Mike Brown and Taylor Jenkins – have done formal interviews for the Knicks’ vacancy,” wrote Charania on X.

The New York Knicks seem to be pretty messed up. Trying to find the right fit as their head coach, the Knicks have now interviewed a third candidate. Reflecting on the situation, NBA insider Sam Amick recently had his say on the matter. Siding with Mike Brown, Amick stated that he will be the better option owing to his vast experience.

“The spotlight is different. Mike has done Cleveland with LeBron, Mike has done L.A. with Kobe and the Lakers. You know, in terms of media, he’s a guy who could sit there and talk for 45 minutes in a press conference—to the point where the reporters are actually kind of done, which never ever happens,” said Amick.
