The Boston Celtics showcased an incredible performance throughout the 2024-25 NBA season, clinching a coveted postseason spot. They wrapped up the regular season in an impressive 2nd position within the Eastern Conference, posting a remarkable record of 61 wins to just 21 losses. The Celtics exhibited their prowess in the first round of the playoffs, easily dispatching the Orlando Magic.
The Celtics encountered significant hurdles during the conference semifinals against the New York Knicks. In addition, star player Jayson Tatum sustained a critical ACL injury during Game 4 of this tense series, ultimately leading to their playoff exit. After this disappointing outcome, ESPN’s Shams Charania dropped intriguing pointers regarding the futures of two key Celtics stars.
“I’m sure teams are throwing crazy offers out for guys like Jaylen Brown and Derrick White. But it’ll take a pretty insurmountable package to get those guys out of Boston.” Charania said on the recent episode of The Pat McAfee Show.

“The point guard pursuit is very real. I don’t know where they [Sacramento Kings] will land on that front. It’s kind of, ‘If only Jrue Holiday was five years younger’ type thing. I think that type of option has been considered and explored, but is imperfect because of his age,” Amick said during a recent interview on SacTown Sports 1140.
Holiday averaged 11.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.9 assists over the course of 62 games this season.
