The New York Knicks dazzled fans with their impressive run during the 2024-25 NBA season, clinching a coveted postseason spot. They showed off their resilience in the playoffs, toppling the Detroit Pistons in the first round and taking down the Boston Celtics in the conference semifinals. However, their journey came to a halt when the Indiana Pacers eliminated them in the conference finals.
In the wake of this setback, the Knicks boldly parted ways with head coach Tom Thibodeau. As they embark on the challenging quest for a new head coach, they have encountered some notable hurdles, including harsh rejections from potential candidates. Recently, Shams Charania of ESPN reported that the Knicks faced some downright blunt “F*** no” responses during their chaotic head coaching search.
“Out of the 5 rejections, some of the scenarios that I heard was, you know: Teams would just hang up. They would say no—and hang up. Teams would have maybe some profanity, maybe there is some ‘F* no’,'” Charania said on The Rich Eisen Show.
The search for the Knicks’ head coach has generated a whirlwind of excitement in the NBA community. Fans are on the edge of their seats, eagerly anticipating how this intriguing drama will play out.
