Damian Lillard has officially moved out of the Milwaukee Bucks and quickly gained interest from a few teams. The All-Star waived out from the Bucks to make room for Myles Turner’s four-year deal. Lillard is facing multiple options now, and they are ready to pick him soon.
According to The Athletic’s Eric Nehm, Sam Amick, and Joe Vardon, the big man is being watched by the Golden State Warriors, Boston Celtics, and Los Angeles Lakers. His time with the Bucks ended after two seasons. As Lillard suffers from a torn Achilles, he might miss most of the next season. However, the timeline has not been announced yet.

Earlier this year, he faced a blood clot issue, but still played well. He averaged 24.9 points and 7.1 assists. His season collapsed in Game 4 of the first round, and now, teams are deciding whether to sign the 34-year-old or wait until next summer to make a move.
Now the focus shifts to Lillard’s next move. His experience and leadership still make him a valuable asset. As his contract ended, Lillard now has the flexibility to choose the right destination. All eyes are now on the veteran guard, whether he will start fresh with a healthy comeback or let it rest as of now.
Golden State Warriors To Steal The Deal With Damian Lillard?

Lillard’s parting with the Bucks opened the door for a big move with the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors are reportedly showing interest in the veteran guard. As a free agent, Lillard’s pairing with Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler sparked major conversation around the league.

Marc J. Spears shared that the Warriors are among the teams to reach out to Lillard and mentioned his deep connections to the Bay Area. “This is a guy that grew up going to games at Oracle Arena, sneaking into the media room, getting sodas. Grew up a Warriors fan,” Spears added.
However, Lillard once showed less interest in joining the Warriors. In 2023, on the It is What it is show, Lillard made a statement by saying, “As far as like Golden State, I respect what they’ve been doing… That’s home. But I can’t be a part of that.”
Though things have changed now, where he goes could make a strong impact on his career after recovery.
