The Boston Celtics showcased an outstanding level of play throughout the 2024-25 NBA season, with a clear goal of clinching their second straight championship. Unfortunately, their aspirations were dashed in the conference semifinals when they faced a formidable New York Knicks team. In the aftermath of their playoff exit, trade speculations regarding Jaylen Brown started to emerge, igniting discussions among fans and analysts alike.
Recent reports from Chris Mannix indicate that the San Antonio Spurs are emerging as a significant contender in the potential pursuit of Jaylen Brown.
“The team I’d watch the closest with Jaylen Brown is probably the Spurs. Sure, I think (the Spurs would) love to make a run at Giannis, but do the Bucks ask for Stephon Castle? Like, is that on their wish list? And if it is, I can’t see San Antonio doing a deal like that.” Via Chris Mannix

Jaylen Brown’s name has frequently surfaced in trade rumours. However, during a recent appearance on ESPN’s “Get Up,” NBA analyst Alan Hahn expressed his belief that the Celtics should not trade Brown
“I wouldn’t trade Jaylen Brown. To me, you keep these two guys together. You build around them again. They are getting older. Those two guys are in their primes. You gotta continue building around them. You can’t build with older more expensive players.” Hahn said. “You need a year to do that. It’s OK to take that kind of gap year.”
