Shannon Sharpe has been known to dish out some hot takes on FS1’s Undisputed, but his latest one has multiple fan bases coming after him. On his very own podcast called “Club Shay Shay,” he told Jamal Crawford that Kobe wasn’t top 5 and explained, “In the history of sports, I dont know if we have ever had a guy rank top 5 with only 1 MVP.”
Sharpe didn’t budge as he quickly stated that Kobe can be on anyone’s top five list, just not his own.
“I base my GOATs on multiple regular season MVPs, championships with multiple finals MVP. This is how “I” judge it. This list isn’t right or wrong, it’s mine,” Sharpe explained.
Michael Jordan and LeBron James are generally thought of as the top two players ever, but after that, you can argue a huge assortment of players in the next three spots.
The 18-time NBA All-Star Kobe Bryant is not just known for his scoring prowess, but also for his all-around game. He has career averages of 25.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.4 steals per game.
He won five NBA championships, including a three-peat while he was still in his early 20s.
