Since retiring from basketball, Shaquille O’Neal has made his education a priority. He earned his BA in 2000 and subsequently completed an MBA and an Ed.D. Shaquille O’Neal has also appeared in various television shows and films. These include Good Burger, The Simpsons, the Lego Movie, Fresh Off The Boat, and Real Husbands of Hollywood. He recently starred in his own reality show, Shaq Life.
Shaq also occasionally appears on podcasts or sports commentary shows to share his expertise about the game.
Relationships
Shaquille O’Neal has also had several different relationships. He married Shaunie O’Neal (nee Nelson) in 2002, and they divorced in 2009. He also had a previous relationship with ex-girlfriend Arnetta Yardbourgh. Since his divorce, Shaquille dated Nicole Alexander (more commonly known as Hoopz), and Laticia Rolle.

Shaquille O’Neal’s Children
Shaquille O’Neal currently has six children, ranging in age from their mid-teens to their mid-twenties. Shaquille O’Neal is close to all of his children. His children appeared in his television show, Shaq Life. Shaq has said that he hopes his children take over his businesses someday and that he’s tried to teach them how important an education is for success.
Shareef O’Neal
Shareef Rashaun O’Neal was born on January 11th, 2000. He is the son of Shaunie O’Neal and Shaquille O’Neal. Like his father, Shareef has had a career in basketball.
Shareef originally began playing college basketball for UCLA. He had first committed to Arizona, but after bribery concerns from the coach, he changed his commitment to UCLA. He then transferred to Lousiana State University, where he currently plays.
His college career was somewhat waylaid by different medical problems, one of which required open-heart surgery, but he seems to be back on track now. Shareef O’Neal is a power forward. Shareef is one of the bigger social media users in the family and often posts snaps and videos of Shaq, his mother, and his siblings on his Instagram account.
Amirah O’Neal
Amirah Saanah O’Neal was born on November 13th, 2001. She is also the daughter of Shaunie O Neal. At 6 foot 2, Amirah is one of Shaq’s tallest daughters.
Amirah played basketball at her high school, Crossroads, for many years. She played as a walk-on at Louisiana State University in 2018 and played for the school in 2019. She majored in Agricultural Business while at the school.
Shaq’s daughter will now be playing for the HBCU Texas Southern University, along with brother Shaqir.
Shaqir O’Neal
Shaqir O’Neal, like his older siblings, also played basketball at his high school. And, like his sister Amirah, he plays basketball at Texas Southern University. Shaqir O’Neal is a forward, and a shooting guard.
He picked Texas Southern as an effort to help change the conversation around athletes committing to play at historically Black colleges and universities. He was ranked as a three-star recruit.
Me’arah O’Neal
The youngest of the Shaq kids, Me’arah Saanah O’Neal was born in 2006. She stands six foot three and played basketball at her middle school. Me’arah plays as a center in the California Interscholastic Federation.
Reportedly, Me’arah has received offers to play college ball at several schools when the time comes. These include offers from Oklahoma State University, UCLA, and the University of Virginia. Me’arah is ranked as a three-star post player.
Taahirah O’Neal
Taahirah O’Neal is the daughter of Shaquille O’Neal and his ex-girlfriend, Arnetta Yardsborough. Unlike the rest of the Shaq children, Taahirah isn’t involved in basketball.
Instead, Taahirah graduated from Oglethorpe University in 2019 with a degree in sociology, politics, and African American studies. Taahirah O’Neal currently works as a social media marketing and community outreach specialist at Pepsico. She also works with various different charitable organizations and activist causes.
Taahirah is a lot more private than her younger siblings, but she still turns up to support her family. She recently surprised her father for his 49th birthday.
Myles O’Neal
Myles Baptiste O’Neal is Shaquille O’Neal’s stepson. He is O’Neal’s ex-wife Shaunie’s child from a past relationship. Myles was born in 1997. Myles has worked in modeling in the past, but currently focuses on music and working as a DJ. His passion for music is something he shares with Shaq since Shaquille has released four different rap albums.
Myles O’Neal has also appeared on various reality television programming. He recently appeared on the reboot of The Hills.
