Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves had a lot of momentum going into the Western Conference Finals. They had taken down some tough teams and built up a strong sense of confidence.
Yet, they choked at a time when they needed to bounce back the most.
The Minnesota fans were almost certain that Edwards and the Wolves were destined for the NBA Finals.
But then came the reality check. The Oklahoma City Thunder hit the Timberwolves hard in the first two games, snatching a quick lead in the series. Additionally, they went on to win the series 4-1 and Edwards had nothing but embarrassment on his side.
Recently, sports analyst Skip Bayless took his usual route and trashed the ANT Man left, right, and center.
“Can’t Man ain’t HIM, and just like LeBron, wasn’t born with the clutch gene,” Bayless said on Fanduel.

However, not only did he trash Edwards, the analyst also ripped LeBron for not having the clutch gene, just like the Wolves star.
Though it was not the only time he dragged James into the conversation, Bayless has long been his critic.
Anthony Edwards Shares Emotional Message After Game 5 Loss

The Thunder really brought their A-game in Game 5 of the WC finals, defeating the Timberwolves 124-94. This impressive win means they’ll be heading to the NBA Finals, where they’ll meet either the Indiana Pacers or the New York Knicks.
While the Thunder celebrated, it was a tough night for Minnesota’s Anthony Edwards. He didn’t perform at his best again. It was the second straight year he’s faced disappointment in the West finals.
After the game, he reflected on his feelings for his veteran teammate, Mike Conley.
“I’m hurt more so… for Mike [Conley]. I came up short for Mike,” Edwards said.

Conley has been a steady presence in the league and is known for his leadership and skill. He made a name for himself as a borderline All-Star during his time with the Memphis Grizzlies.
Though Edwards really felt the emotional toll for not delivering the support his teammate deserved.
