The Mavs are facing a rough season filled with injuries, and unfortunately, it looks like Kyrie Irving is just another name to add to that growing list. During the closing moments of the first quarter against the Kings, Irving slipped while driving toward the basket. It looked concerning from the beginning as he hit the court hard, clutching his knee in obvious pain.

He lay there for several minutes, and the trainers had to come over to help him back to his feet due to how serious it seemed. Despite the injury, Irving wasn’t ready to leave the game just yet. With the trainers’ assistance, he insisted on taking a moment to shoot his free throws.
Remarkably, he nailed both shots before being helped off the court and into the locker room for further evaluation. However, the whole arena was on their feet while clapping and chanting for him as he made throws. While arena fans were showering the MVP chants on Kyrie, social media fans compared him with Kobe Bryant’s Mamba Mentality.

Unfortunately, the injury is looking a bit serious, given the way Kyrie Irving twisted his knee. Attendees at the American Airlines Center held their breath and kept on cheering him to make the moment less concerning. Despite the agony he was clearly in, Irving exhibited extraordinary determination. When the whistle blew for a foul committed by Kings forward DeMar DeRozan, Irving insisted on taking his free throws. With the support of his teammates, especially Anthony Davis, he made his way to the foul line, knowing he had unfinished business.
