According to The Athletic, the two-time NBA champion is joining forces with Qatar Sports Investments to become a shareholder in Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). The move is part of a larger strategic partnership that could also include Durant advising on PSG’s ambitions to branch into basketball.
“Two-time NBA champion Kevin Durant has expanded his relationship with Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), investing directly into UEFA Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain as part of a strategic partnership that will also see Durant consult on the club’s ‘potential plans’ to expand into basketball,” the report read.

In an official statement released by PSG, Durant expressed his excitement about the deal and his personal connection to the city and club.
“It is an honor to partner with QSI and be a shareholder in Paris Saint-Germain—a club and city that is deeply close to my heart. This club has big plans, and I look forward to being part of the next phase of growth and exploring new investment opportunities with QSI,” Durant said.
