It’s true that the Los Angeles Lakers have improved since the Anthony Davis-Luka Doncic trade. But AD does not deserve the kind of treatment and disrespect he’s getting lately. First the Dallas fans got irritated by him for his health, now Jeanie Buss is throwing shade at him.
Ever since the trade was made, the Lakers were in a clear win-win situation. They’ve got a young and enthusiastic star in Doncic, and in return, they shipped Davis along with some other players. Though shipping off AD was not because of his performance, it was rather his fitness and lingering injuries.
However, the Lakers owner Buss spoke about Davis with her full mind and broke down the reasoning behind the trade. And fans are not loving it at all.
“We have lost the last three years in a row to the Denver Nuggets in the playoffs, and we really didn’t have anything that was going to look different going into the playoffs again. Anthony Davis was complaining about where he was being played and he wasn’t happy. So I think this was a positive for both teams. They got what they were looking for; we got what we were looking for,” Buss recently said.

Since joining the Mavericks, Davis made his debut on February 8 but has only played one game due to an adductor strain. Meanwhile, the Lakers, now featuring a matchup of Doncic and LeBron James, are on a remarkable seven-game winning streak. They are gearing up to face the New York Knicks, aiming to extend their winning streak to eight games.
