The Los Angeles Lakers faced off against the Houston Rockets at Crypto.com Arena on Friday. While the game is still ongoing, Luka Doncic has already stolen the spotlight with his jaw-dropping performance.
One of the most electrifying moments of the game occurred in the second quarter when Doncic executed a brutal crossover against Rockets star Alperen Sengun. The move left Sengun off balance, stumbling as the crowd erupted in excitement.
However, Doncic remained completely composed, immediately identifying an open Dorian Finney-Smith in the corner. He demonstrated his elite playmaking skills, and delivered a perfect pass, allowing Finney-Smith to drain the shot without hesitation. The bucket gave the Lakers a slight edge, putting them ahead 47-46 over the Rockets.

LeBron James Praises Luka Doncic’s Playing Style

In the first episode of his new podcast, Mind The Game, he took a moment to praise Luka Doncic for his approach to the game. The four-time NBA champion highlighted what makes Doncic an exciting teammate.
“Because he plays the game how I’ve always wanted to inspire the next generation to play the game. There’s nothing predetermined. If you have two guys on you, there’s a number’s game. If you have the advantage and it’s a guy that you know can’t guard you or you’re able to beat him,” James said.
The two legends have aligned well since the trade brought Doncic to LA midseason. Since then, both the Lakers standings and season record have improved. At one point, the Lakers even improved to second seed in the Western Conference.
