The conference semifinals series between the Denver Nuggets and the Oklahoma City Thunder features intense matchups. After the Thunder’s victory in Game 4, the series is now tied at 2-2. Meanwhile, some surprising insights about Nikola Jokic and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander have emerged.
In a thrilling segment of NBA Countdown, Stephen A. Smith and Kendrick Perkins highlighted that Nikola Jokić’s challenges are not holding back the Nuggets’ momentum.
“Think about this. Mark Daigneault made a mistake in that game. Jokic was struggling in the fourth quarter. All of a sudden you start overtime with Chet on the bench and you go with Alex Caruso, next thing you know, Jokic bucket right in the middle. You don’t give a guy like that, the best player in the world, an all-time great center, confidence to see one go in.” Perkins said.
“[The Nuggets’] cats picked it up for [Jokić]. SGA clearly doesn’t have that to rely upon.” Smith said.
