Michael Jordan has one big task aligned for him and Stephen A. Smith couldn’t resist talking over it.
Smith is buzzing with excitement over Jordan’s upcoming role as a special contributor to NBC’s NBA coverage. He’s confident that fans will see the same candid and brutally honest Jordan that we loved in ‘The Last Dance.’
During his recent appearance on the PBD Podcast, Smith made it clear that Jordan is ready to rock his next big career venture.
“Let me tell you something about Michael Jordan. He’s going to be brutally honest, I can assure you that. He’s not going to be somebody who’s going to be passive. … The Michael Jordan I know, when talking basketball, he is as candid as it gets. He ain’t trying to hurt nobody’s feelings. He ain’t trying to be insulting. But he’s going to tell you what’s going on,” Stephen A. said on the podcast.
Smith also expressed how proud he is of Jordan for stepping up, especially since, with a net worth over $2 billion, he doesn’t really need to do this. He encouraged Jordan to share his thoughts more openly now that he’s retired.

While it would be an absolute dream for the Michael Jordan fan to see him back around the basketball court, everybody is curious about the pay.
MJ is set to join NBC’s NBA coverage as a special contributor, which has sparked a lot of buzz about how much he might be getting paid. At first, many thought he’d be raking in around $40 million a year.
However, some reports have stated that this number isn’t accurate.
Well, he’ll be featured in taped segments during the NBA season, sharing his insights and analysis during pregame and halftime shows. Although the exact details of his pay are still under wraps.
But a $40 million salary would be quite a leap, roughly double what Charles Barkley makes at TNT. Despite all this, one thing we can count on is that when Jordan speaks, he’ll keep it real.
