The world of podcasting has become a popular post-retirement path for many NBA players looking to share their insights and stories. One of the most notable examples is Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green, who began his own podcast in May 2022, long before calling it a career. Yet, Stephen Curry has no interest in hopping on that trend.
When asked in a recent interview if he’d ever consider following in Draymond Green’s footsteps and launching a podcast of his own, Curry didn’t hesitate to shut down the idea. Instead, Curry emphasized that his time and energy are better spent on ventures he’s more invested in.
“You won’t see me do it though. I got a lot of other things I wanna do other than be behind the mic everyday. Cause if you gonna do something you gotta be all in, and it is the time commitment, it’s a big lift. It’s not something I’m passionate about,” Curry said.

Curry appreciates the platform podcasts offer, especially seeing a close teammate like Green thrive in that space. It’s simply not a path he’s eager to explore.
Steve Kerr Blames Playoff Schedule For Stephen Curry’s Injury

“Who’s more likely to be able to withstand the rigors of the pace and space and the game-every-other-day schedule — the younger players or the older players? The younger guys are,” Kerr said.
Curry sustained a hamstring strain during Game 1 of the series, which forced him to sit out the remaining games. Without their leader on the court, the Warriors struggled to keep up with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Ultimately, Golden State was eliminated from the playoffs after a 4-1 series loss.
