The Golden State Warriors’ campaign has come to a screeching halt. After a fabulous turnaround in the league, the Warriors were one of the biggest teams to look out for. Riding on the back of superior performances from Jimmy Butler, Stephen Curry, and Draymond Green, the Warriors made it to the conference semis. Looking like a team on a mission, they faced off against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Unfortunately, despite their best efforts, the Warriors bowed out of the competition. However, all of these could have been way better if Stephen Curry were there.
Looking back at their season, coach Steve Kerr opined that the team missed Stephen Curry’s services dearly. Incurring a hamstring strain, Curry had to sit out the entirety of their season, and this cost the Warriors dearly. Without Curry, the team looked like a shadow of itself. Thus, speaking of the same, Kerr stated that the Warriors might have advanced further in the league if an injury-free Curry had turned up.
“I know we had a shot. I know we could have gone the distance… Maybe we wouldn’t have, but it doesn’t matter. Again, everything in the playoffs is about who stays healthy and who gets hot,” Kerr said.

Surely, the Warriors were significantly outplayed by the Timberwolves. With just 104 points per 100 possessions, the sorry story was pretty much evident. Meanwhile, as the Warriors lament Curry’s absence, Stephen A. Smith drops a chilling comment about the Warriors’ star.
Stephen A. Smith Has A Sombre Narrative For Stephen Curry

Stephen A. Smith has been a vocal personality in the NBA. Looking at how things went down for the Warriors, he could not help but chime in with his take on the matter. For the record, Stephen Curry won the NBA with the Warriors in 2022. Opining on Curry’s chances of securing another ring, Smith had some bad news.

“I think the second we really, really knew in our hearts this was it [for the Warriors] was when they didn’t get Kevin Durant to come back. I think we’ve seen the last of Steph Curry as a champion in Golden State,” Smith said on ‘First Take.’
