After months of speculation, Kevin Durant has finally moved on from the Phoenix Suns and found a new home. On Sunday, just before the NBA Finals buzz reached its peak, the Suns traded Durant to the Houston Rockets.
The Rockets were one of the teams Durant had shown interest in joining. Alongside Houston, Durant also named the Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs potential destinations. Prior to finalizing the deal with the Rockets, the Heat reportedly made a strong push to acquire the two-time Finals MVP.
According to the proposal from Miami, the Suns would have received Andrew Wiggins, Terry Rozier, Haywood Highsmith, Jamie Jaquez Jr., and the 20th overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. In exchange, the Heat would land Kevin Durant.
