The New York Knicks kept their NBA hopes alive as they went on to beat the Indiana Pacers in Game 5 of the conference finals. With Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns making merry, the likes of Pascal Siakam will have to get back to the drawing boards. And while the Pacers will look to turn things around, Siakam had quite an awkward exchange with a reporter.
During the post game presser, Siakam was asked by a reporter about whether the Knicks played harder. What he meant was that the New York side was more competitive in cashing in on the rebounds and caused fewer turnovers. However, with the reporter seeking deep insights on the matter from Siakam, the Pacers’ star got agitated.
“You good bro?… Who is this guy?” an irritated Siakam reflected.

Madison Square Garden did not turn out to be a happy hunting ground this time for the Pacers. Coming to Game 5, the Pacers enjoyed a 3-1 lead. However, with Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns exploding, things soon went out of hand. Brunson chipped in with 32 points, five assists, and five rebounds. Anthony Towns, on the other hand, dropped 24 points with 13 rebounds and three assists.

For the Pacers, the only notable mention was Bennedict Mathurin. He chimed in with 23 points as Siakam faltered significantly. Siakam managed only 15 points and would thus, look to get into the groove right away from the next game. With a lot at stake, Game 6 will surely be a banger.
