
The Oklahoma City Thunder has seen some really great talents over the years. From Kevin Durant to Paul George, the Thunder have been home to several NBA icons. However, with the manner in which OKC has played this season, they have been simply phenomenal. And a lot of the praise must go to none other than Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
Displaying some sublime form, SGA has etched his name in the top 5 list of the all-time greatest Oklahoma City Thunder stars. But where does he fit in? Let’s find out.
5. Paul George

Coming in at number 5, Paul George played 2 seasons with the Thunder. And that was enough for him to make an everlasting impact. In both seasons, George made it to the NBA All-Star team, 2 All-NBA selections, and also the NBA steals leader. In the 2018-19 season, George averaged a career high of 28 points to boost the team’s overall record.
4. Serge Ibaka

Next up, Serge Ibaka has been one of the most prominent names in the Thunder’s history. Playing for 7 seasons, Ibaka made it to the NBA All-Defensive first team thrice. He was also adjudged as the NBA blocks leader twice, and was also a franchise leader in blocks. Despite playing defense, Ibaka averaged 12 points per game in four seasons.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been a phenom lately. Currently in his sixth season, Gilgeous-Alexander’s antics have made the team secure a place in the NBA finals. Over the years, SGA has earned 3 All-Star selections and 3 All-NBA first team selections.

Having his best season currently, Gilgeous-Alexander will now look to cement his legacy further by winning the MVP this year.
2. Russell Westbrook

Russell Westbrook had 8 All-Star selections and an identical number of All-NBA selections. He had his best season in 2016-17, when he was adjudged the league’s MVP. Qualifying for the finals in 2012, Westbrook had 6897 assists to his name, the most since his move to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
1. Kevin Durant

Kevin Durant is undoubtedly the best of the lot. With 7 All-Star selections, Durant was adjudged as the NBA MVP in the 2013-14 season. He also clinched the NBA Rookie of the Year back in 2007-08.
Thus, with the top 5 in place, it now remains to be seen whether Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and co. can take the Thunder to a championship run.
